Haley Nowak is the 2021 recipient of the Battery Watering Technologies $5,000 DECA Scholarship. Haley has been an exemplary student and it is evident that she worked hard at balancing the rigors of her academic schedule and her extracurricular activities.
In addition to her outstanding academic achievements, her extracurricular activities included DECA, Girls Service Club, Math Honor Society, Science Honor Society and the Mindfulness and Meditation Club. Haley placed in several district competitions with DECA and she became certified in Guest Service Making Professional Connections by the American Hotel and Lodging Institute.
One of her mentors wrote “Haley’s determination to succeed is one of her strongest traits, as she demonstrated in the classroom many times. She is a selfless individual in and out of the classroom and I have no doubt that she will continue to strive for excellency in her future educational and professional endeavors due to her high intrinsic motivation”.
She will continue her education at Wake Forest University studying Biochemistry/Chemistry next fall. We are thrilled to have such a deserving scholarship recipient and congratulate Haley on her extraordinary accomplishments.
